Why you shouldn’t pick the design for them

A tattoo stays for years, and the motif, style, size and placement are deeply personal choices. Even if you know someone’s taste well, it’s easy to miss on the details – the size, the style (realism or black & grey, for example) or whether it should be on show or easy to cover.

A voucher keeps the surprise and leaves the choice

A voucher gives you the moment of surprise when you hand it over, and gives them full freedom over the design. The recipient:

  • describes their own idea and brings their own inspiration,
  • gets a free consultation and quote,
  • receives a design made just for them,
  • picks a date that suits them.

Who a tattoo voucher works for

A voucher is a good choice when someone:

  • has talked about getting a tattoo for ages but keeps putting it off,
  • is planning their next tattoo and already has a favourite style,
  • has a big occasion coming up – a birthday, an anniversary, the holidays, or an 18th (for someone who is already an adult).

How to give a voucher so it lands well

  • Add some inspiration – print a few pieces from our portfolio in a style they like.
  • Give them time – a good design deserves some thought. Still, encourage them not to leave it to the last minute, as dates can book up in advance.
  • Show them the first step – all they need to do is message the studio with their idea, the placement and the approximate size.
  • If it’s their first tattoo – send them our first tattoo guide.

What happens after you hand it over

  1. They get in touch – idea, placement, approximate size, inspiration. Our guide to tattoo reference photos helps here.
  2. Free consultation and quote – refining the style and size.
  3. Booking – the deposit is set individually (BLIK or cash), and the appointment can be rescheduled no later than 3 days before.
